Three categories are open at launch. Each is scored on the same weighted rubric, so a result reflects the product — not the size of the company behind it. A category may return no winner at all if no entry meets the standard.

How judging works

Every entry meets the same weighted rubric

JIMSO recognises exceptional digital and software products through an evidence-based, weighted evaluation. Every entry is scored 0–100 across six criteria: problem significance and market relevance (15), product quality and UX (20), innovation and differentiation (20), evidence of impact and traction (25), execution and scalability (15), and submission clarity and integrity (5).

A product must score at least 75 to reach the finalist stage and at least 82 to be named a winner. In any category, a season produces up to five finalists and a single winner — or no award at all, if no entry meets the standard. Categories are reviewed and configured each season; the categories below are the current launch set and are not a permanent or fixed list.
