Privacy statement

This statement explains, in plain terms, what data JIMSO collects when you use the site and enter the awards, who processes it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. We do not sell your data.

Who is responsible for your data

JIMSO is operated by Sodasoft LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, which is the controller of the personal data described below. Requests about your data - access, correction or deletion - are handled by that company through the contact channels on this site.

What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to run the awards and let you enter and verify a result:

Account email: When you sign in, we store your email address so we can send your one-time magic link and associate your account with your entries.
Application and company details: The information you enter about your company and product - including links, evidence and files - so it can be reviewed and judged.
Payment information: Entry payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference for it; we do not store your full card details.
Email delivery: Sign-in links and transactional messages (such as entry confirmations) are sent through an email provider, which processes the recipient address to deliver them.

Third-party processors

We rely on a small number of third-party providers to operate the awards. Each processes data only to provide its service to us:

Database hosting: A managed database provider stores your account and application data on our behalf.
Payments: A third-party payment processor handles entry payments and the card data involved in them.
Email: An email delivery provider sends sign-in links and transactional messages.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and application data for as long as it is needed to maintain the awards record - the entries, results and published recognition that make an outcome verifiable over time. Payment records are retained as required to account for transactions. When data is no longer needed for those purposes, it is removed.

We do not sell your data

JIMSO does not sell your personal data and does not share it with third parties except the processors above that help us run the awards, or where the law requires it. We make no certification claims we cannot stand behind.

Your rights and how to ask

You can ask us to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it - subject to any information we must retain as part of the awards record or to meet a legal obligation.
