Best B2B Software Product

This category recognises software built for organisations rather than individual consumers — tools that teams, departments, or entire companies rely on to do meaningful work. It rewards products that solve a real operational problem clearly, deliver measurable value to the businesses that adopt them, and hold up under the demands of professional use.

The emphasis is practical. A strong B2B product earns its place through the outcomes it produces for customers: less manual effort, better decisions, faster processes, lower cost, or new capability that was previously out of reach. JIMSO looks for evidence of that value, not assertions of it.

Who can enter

Eligibility

To enter, a product must:

  • Be a live, commercially available software product sold to businesses or professional teams.
  • Have real paying customers or organisational users beyond the founding team or a single pilot.
  • Be operated and supported as an ongoing product, not a one-off project or internal tool.

Products at any company stage may enter, from independent studios to established vendors, provided the product is in active use by real customers. Entries may be submitted by the company that builds the product or by an authorised representative.

What to show

Required evidence

Because impact and traction carry the most weight, B2B entries should document real business outcomes. Provide what is relevant and available:

  • Adoption figures — number of customer organisations, seats, or active accounts, with context on growth over time.
  • Retention and expansion — renewal rates, net revenue retention, churn, or account-level usage trends.
  • Revenue or efficiency results — revenue scale or trajectory, and quantified customer outcomes such as time saved, cost reduced, or throughput increased.
  • Customer case studies — before-and-after accounts describing the problem, the deployment, and the result, ideally with named customer roles or industries.
  • Validated qualitative evidence — direct customer statements, structured interview findings, or third-party reviews that can be substantiated.

Numbers should be attributable and, where possible, independently verifiable. Estimates are acceptable if clearly labelled and explained.

How it is scored

Judging criteria

Every entry is scored 0–100 against the same weighted framework. The weights below are fixed across categories; the notes that follow are where this category’s jury looks hardest.

Problem & market relevance
15
Product quality & UX
20
Innovation & differentiation
20
Evidence of impact & traction
25
Execution & scalability
15
Submission clarity & integrity
5

Entries are scored against the standard weighted framework. For this category, the jury pays particular attention to:

  • Evidence of impact and traction (25) — the strongest lever; concrete, verifiable business outcomes across a real customer base.
  • Product quality and UX (20) — reliability, depth, and usability in demanding professional workflows.
  • Execution and scalability (15) — the product's ability to serve growing customer needs and larger deployments.

Problem significance and market relevance (15), innovation and differentiation (20), and submission clarity and integrity (5) complete the score. Innovation matters, but for B2B it is judged in service of outcomes rather than novelty for its own sake.

By shape, not by brand

Example eligible products

Products of the following types would fit this category (described by shape, not by brand):

  • A workflow automation platform used by finance teams to close their books faster.
  • A data infrastructure tool that engineering organisations use to move and transform information reliably.
  • A compliance and audit system adopted by regulated companies to manage evidence and reporting.
  • A field-operations application that logistics or maintenance teams use to coordinate work across sites.
  • A revenue or billing platform that subscription businesses run their invoicing and collections on.

Out of scope

Exclusions

The following are out of scope for this category:

  • Consumer-only products with no business or professional buyer.
  • Internal tools not offered commercially to external customers.
  • Concepts, prototypes, closed alphas, or products without real customers.
  • Pure hardware, or services with no substantive software product.
  • Agencies, consultancies, or bespoke project work rather than a repeatable product.

Products where artificial intelligence is the central source of value may be a better fit for Best AI Product; recently launched products may also qualify for Best New Product.

A complete entry

Application requirements

A complete entry includes:

  • Product name, company, category, and a concise summary of what the product does and for whom.
  • A statement of the problem it solves and the market it serves.
  • A working product link and access for the jury — a live demo, sandbox, guided walkthrough, or credentialed trial account.
  • Evidence of impact: adoption, retention, revenue or efficiency metrics, and at least one customer case study or validated customer reference.
  • A short account of what makes the product distinct from available alternatives.
  • Supporting materials as needed: screenshots, a short demo video, documentation links, or third-party reviews.
  • Declarations confirming the product is live with real customers, that the entry is authorised, and that all figures and claims are accurate and can be substantiated on request.
